Crashing
Most crashes are caused by unpatched/incomplete game files or anti-virus interference. Before anything else: run the patcher as Administrator, let it finish, and add your LxudRO folder to your AV exceptions.
Client won't run after patching
On older Windows versions (Vista / 7), User Account Control can block the client.
- Right-click the patcher → Run as administrator.
- If it still won't launch: press Win and type
MSCONFIG→ open it. - Go to the Tools tab → select Disable UAC → Launch → restart your PC.
- You can re-enable UAC the same way later.
Client closes right after the Gepard loading screen
This happens when no valid screen resolution is configured.
- Open GameSettings.exe in your LxudRO folder.
- Set a resolution — start with 1024×768, then raise it once the game launches.
- Save and start the game again.
"Instruction at referenced memory could not be read"
This points to your system rather than game files.
- Run a full anti-virus / malware scan.
- Update your drivers (especially GPU).
- Increase Virtual Memory (System → Advanced → Performance → Virtual Memory).
Crashing during gameplay (with a crashlog)
Usually a sprite/map problem from non-patched files.
- Run the patcher as Administrator and let it fully complete.
- If it persists, do a clean full reinstall from lxudro.net/downloads (opens in a new tab).
- Lenovo laptops: uninstall Lenovo System Interface Foundation (it conflicts with the client).
- If you crash on one specific map every time, ask staff on Discord (opens in a new tab) to relocate your character.
Resource errors on startup
Caused by outdated/incomplete base files.
- Download the Full Installer and install it into your existing LxudRO folder (the mini/patch files alone won't fix this).
- If errors remain, install the Full Installer into a brand-new folder.
Missing file: binkw32.dll (or other missing .dll)
Means the base game files are missing or the installer was run in the wrong place.
- If you already have the game files: run the installer in the same folder as your existing install.
- If you don't: download and run the Full Installer for a complete set of files.
- Make sure your anti-virus didn't quarantine the file (add an AV exception, then re-patch).
MSVCR100.dll error
The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 runtime is missing.
- Install the Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable (x86):
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26999 (opens in a new tab) - Restart the client.
DirectX / D3D error
- Install the latest DirectX runtime from Microsoft.
- Run an anti-virus scan to rule out corrupted system files.
- In GameSettings.exe, try switching the renderer / graphics device.
Gepard Shield errors (STV / GT / CD codes, freezes)
LxudRO uses Gepard Shield 3.0. Most Gepard errors are false positives from other software.
- Add the whole LxudRO folder (and the Gepard files) to your anti-virus exceptions.
- Close overlays and tools that hook the game (FPS overlays, macro tools, screen recorders, dgVoodoo, etc.).
- Speedhack / CD Code 800: sync your system clock (wrong time triggers false speedhack detection) and close any speed/macro tools.
- License-server / GT Code 300: a temporary server-side issue — wait a few minutes and retry.
- Reboot and relaunch. If it persists, post the exact code in Discord (opens in a new tab).
Crash at very high resolution (above 2048×1536)
Open GameSettings.exe and choose a lower resolution; extremely high resolutions can crash the client.
Random crashes with no crashlog ("Warsaw/Banking")
- Add LxudRO + Gepard to anti-virus exceptions (security suites are the usual cause).
- Update GPU and chipset drivers.
- Close background overlays and security/banking software that injects into other apps.
Playing on Mac / Linux
The client is Windows-only. Run it through Wine/CrossOver or a Windows virtual machine. These setups are community-supported — ask in Discord (opens in a new tab) for current tips.
